Is 5 inch hair long for a guy? Why does my dad keep insisting i cut it?

hair that gets in your eyes is too long for a guy. 5 inches is probably not that long but borders on longer. your dad probably insists on a buzz cut because he's a little more traditional. do whatever makes you feel comfortable and whatever other people tell you looks best. just don't let your hair grow out "long", keep it a shorter length. long hair on guys just isn't attractive, but again i don't think your hair sounds like it's long. it sounds like an average length.
