In your opinion or hypothetically speaking, which kind of community do you dwell in?

Closer to door #1, except that in Pristine Suburbia (my 85 year old dad's house) the fences are virtual. Culture, socioeconomic status, decades of networking, and of course the "generation divide". On, and it's East of the Mississippi on the Mason/Dixon Line, so I don't even understand these people. I could deal with barbed wire, but not with these invisible walls.
